This is a fascinating book to dip into It is laid out as a daily calendar with a different picture and accompanying notes for each day of the year The pictures range from views of the earth s surface or of astronauts and equipment on the moon to the most stunning visions of subjects such as the once molten surface of Venus, the perfect spiral galaxy, and some awesome nebulae. It is just jaw droppingly wonderful to actually see some of the incredible sights that are out there in space, so beautiful, colourful and varied Makes you look up into the sky above your home with a whole different perspective on just how much is out there.Fascinating for kids and adults alike, this is an inspiring book both to own and to give away Buy it

I have loved anything to do with space travel and exploring the cosmos all my life In fact, as a young boy I wanted to become an astronomer but my life turned into other directions over the years Nevertheless, I still kept my interest in astronomy and even took several courses at the planetarium When I saw this amazing book The Universe 365 days by Robert J Nemiroff and Jerry T Bonnell at a bargain price on I immediately bought it.This giant 91 2 by 61 2 hardcover book was a pure joy Each page has a photograph of something to do with the universe along with an explanation of what is being shown This book is based upon the website Astronomy Picture of the day This is the kind of book that those into astronomy would love.My only complaint about this book is the font writing on each page is very small and even with my glasses on I had a little trouble reading it, but it is still a fantastic book for anyone who is interested in the cosmos.Rating 5 Stars Joseph J Truncale Author The Samurai Soul An old warrior s poetic tribute.

I bought this book because I m learning how to paint space scenes in Photoshop and needed a good reference book I m thrilled with the photos, if you really want to master painting or drawing a particular subject you need to study how things truly appear in nature My nebulae and star fields are starting to look realistic now that I have some fantastic reference photos to peruse Even if you re not looking for photographic reference materials, I d still recommend buying this book The photos are truly awe inspiring for anyone interested in astronomy.
