I have been reading the How to Train your Dragon series since the very first book I am now 17 and although no longer in the target age range, feel that I have grown up with Hiccup and Toothless I am so very sad that there will be no sequels but equally, this book provided a heartwarming ending which exceeded my expectations Witty, unpredictable, beautifully illustrated this is a perfect family book which will appeal to readers of all ages Impossible to put down, I found myself staying up late into the night to finish it I feel honoured to have seen Hiccup s adventures through to the end

Have been reading the Dragon books to my 7 and 9 year old grandchildren boy and girl My grandson was very reluctant, as he didn t like the Dragon film, but I persevered and they are now both totally hooked The series has all the excitement that keeps them interested, but the language is good, the vocabulary rich, and the messages in the story valuable Grandma has been enjoying them as much as grandkids
