Dangerous Games to Play in the Dark Love this book got it for myself but it makes an excellent gift or coffee table conversation piece Highly recommend. What begins as a test of bravery or a sleepover activity chanting in front of a mirror, riding an elevator alone, taking pictures in the dark can become something dangerous This compendium collects the most spine chilling games based on urban legends from around the world Centuriesold games such as Bloody Mary and Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board are detailed alongside new games from the internet age, like The Answer Man, a sinister voice that whispers secrets to whomever manages to contact him with a cellphone With step by step instructions, historical context, and the stakes for each game, this black handbook is the ideal gift for anyone looking for a late night thrill but beware who, or what, may come out to play I purchased this out a curiosity, although I am not into doing the actual rituals or games, I find them interesting To me, this was a quick read and entertaining Each game broken out into different chapters and each games introduction has its risk level, objective, additional warnings, rewards I wish there were included Great games, some of the ratings should be changed, but overall a amazing book with some fun concepts Magnificent work of supernatural art Absolutely love this little book I read a lot of books on supernatural, paranormal and folk lore subjects and this tiny tome is fun than most stuff in my library It s got it all It s creepy, it s spooky, it s historical, it s urban legend and magick all rolled into one This is such a unique book that I recommend anyone and everyone into the occult or supernatural read this and keep it for reference The author did her homework and cited her references and the history of each game The book is well written and edited and so much fun to read I bought it strictly for chills and thrills, never intending to play the games but the fun is in MAYBE SOME DARK NIGHT I WILL so I encourage anyone who wants a tantalizing wicked night time read to get this book You will be Pleasantly Creeped Out. It s an interesting read, but it could use some diagrams Also, there are a few places where faulty sentence structure made me have to re read the passage Not good things seeing as these actions must be performed super specifically Also, one of the popular rituals known as The Three Kings is not covered I will give the author, however, that maybe that game isn t as popular as I think it is.
