Pictures in the book are wonderfully drawn as always We are massive fans of Julia Donaldson books in this house and would recommend most of them However this one was not one of our faves The main rhyme in it for the noises all the sea creatures made was nice but the rest of the book wasn t great For example the one said golly and one said gosh was already done in what the ladybird heard on holiday So might as well have just been reading that one We were pleased to see our favourite book sharing a shell s characters in it at one point, but as my 3 year old pointed out, the shell was the smaller one, not the one they now live in, so why are they back in the small shell We had to decide this book was set before they got their new shell I d gave thought this would be picked up on before being published. So if you haven t was sharing a shell, I d definitely recommend that one, rather than this Each to their own though, it s not terrible, just not one of the best either.

Once again another fantastic tale from Julia Donaldson The ladybird and the two naughty men hefty Hugh and lanky Len are back again for a 4th book The rhythm and style are the exact same as the previous books and it was a joy to read with my children..who loved it as much as the others Worth the wait, hopefully there will be many adventures for this ladybird Great illustrations as always by Lydia Monks Highly recommend.

I thought this would be a soft cover, like the other one I have from this series This is a hard cover with thick paper pages, making it quite dangerous for the baby to use can scratch with cover corners, or cut fingers with paper I did

Julia Donaldson is yet to disappoint me, and this was another winner My son loves the ladybird series and this is on par with the first book in my opinion The hardback version is such great quality with beautiful illustrations and glitter on each page, which my son loves to touch whilst I read to him He quickly picked up the sea creatures noises and was joining in with the story He reaches for this book again and again.

We love these series of books in our house and this addition didn t disappoint, the great characters and innovative story but the best part according to my children is feeling the sparkles and looking to find the lady it s on each page.

We are a fan of all the Ladybird stories and this is another fun tale and is akin to the Singing Mermaid Our five year old was so excited to receive another story in this set for her birthday.
