✸ Making Music with Emagic Logic Audio Epub ✻ Author Stephen Bennett – Tactical-player.co.uk

I have had Logic audio Platinum for about 6 months and thought I could use it pretty well Until I got this book Full of tips and tricks to make recording quicker and easier Covers all sections of Logic including the Environment window which I now finally understand Like the manual but much much better Love it The problem with this book is the writing style of the author I had to re read some pages three or four times and I still had no idea what he was talking about and I use logic every day I found going back to the manual much helpful 90% of the time As Logic books go, it s dated and missing a lot of information The section on dealing with VST instruments is few pages long and I think thats dates it than anything. The author spends a inordinate time talking about setting up a midi environment and skipping over all the things that make logic so powerful. Most of the book reads like a laundry list to be honest No real world examples are given A shame really.Crack open the manual and experiment I think that will be much rewarding than any time you spend with this book. OK there is a fair amount covered in adequate detail, but without good explanation or ease of reading. The presentation is very basic and no background or general overview on terminology or concepts is given.Essentially IMHO this book may be useful for someone already familiar with such applications preferably Logic and looking for a reference for some of the commonly used technical functions available in Logic It s not much good for beginners who want to learn Logic from the top down. After a couple of days of frustrating toil with the reference manual that came with Logic Audio, supressing the need to throw my computer out of the window, I bought this book.Wow what a difference In no time at all I was up and running and my studio worked again I come from a background of Cubase v2 on the atari, so that is pretty damn good if you ask me.If it wasn t for this book, I would still be getting nowhere buy it, but it, but it Amazing Books, Making Music With Emagic Logic Audio By Stephen Bennett This Is Very Good And Becomes The Main Topic To Read, The Readers Are Very Takjup And Always Take Inspiration From The Contents Of The Book Making Music With Emagic Logic Audio, Essay By Stephen Bennett Is Now On Our Website And You Can Download It By Register What Are You Waiting For Please Read And Make A Refission For You As a professional, proficient user of other leading sequencers e.g., Pro Tools, Cakewalk Sonar, and Cubase , I was very disappointed with Stephen Bennett s book Making Music With EMagic Logic Audio. The great majority of the book consists of laundry lists that provide only short descriptions of what various toolbars and buttons do descriptions that are already available in eMagic Logic Audio s manual The book fails to give us specific examples and walk throughs to teach the various functions that are available in Logic. The only chapter that is somewhat useful is the chapter on setting up an environment in Logic It does provide a step by step guide to setting up a simple environment Unfortunately, it doesn t go into greater detail and covers only a small fraction of Logic s functionality If you have multiple MIDI instruments, MIDI, audio and soundcards, this book won t help you set them up.The remaining chapters are even superficial, and provide laundry lists of Logic s functionality But again, no walk throughs or specific examples Key features like Logic s audio tools are not covered.I cannot recommend the purchase of this book. This book is one of the better books about logic audio around It s handy if you re a beginner and have a lot of time on your hands For me personally, i like to teach myself things, and thats where this book falls down You cannot use it as a reference guide, it only lists the most basic concepts and functions in the index, and many valuable details are left out or i can t find them You practically need to read the book from start to end, to get the most out of it I don t have the patience for this, and so it s not right for me It s detailed, but sometimes not so logic al It covers the basics well, but sometimes it explains functions and concepts without going into how why you would use them. This book is for beginners who like to be spoon fed you simply have no option with this book, you cannot use it as a reference guide I learnt from glancing at the book, and then using trial and error There are many useful tutorials on the web as well.I spent money on this book and wish i hadn t.Buy this if you are a person who has a lot of patienceDon t buy it if you re looking for a quick and easy way to learn logic.I hope this helps As someone new to Logic I have found this book to be extremely valuable in learning many of the esoteric features of logic I ve used Cubase extensively and Logic is a bit of a paradigm shift, but this book is now helping me with this The book is quite meaty in places which suits me fine considering I ve been writing music on computers for years now I didn t buy the wizoo guide because it looked pretty basic and my needs were advanced Only little niggles I ve had is a few typo s and bad spelling in the book Otherwise well worth it Pity about the exchange rate to New Zealand dollars though. THIS IS THE BOOK This book is incredibly well written and organized It takes you step by step through all the features of this amazing sequencer. After struggling for 2 years this book really made it all come together for me.BUY IT, YOU LL BE AMAZED Making Music with Emagic Logic Audio
