The Great Gatsby is an American classic The story begins with the narrator, Nick Carraway, a Yale graduate returning home to begin a career Nick decides to rent a house next to the mansion of Gatsby, the mysterious host of regular, extravagant parties The story runs through all the drama of shady millionaries, attractive Daisy, and the Buchanan family and fascinating secondary characters I recommend the book only because it s an original story and it makes you think about human behavior Tel The Great Gatsby is an American classic The story begins with the narrator, Nick Carraway, a Yale graduate returning home to begin a career Nick decides to rent a house next to the mansion of Gatsby, the mysterious host of regular, extravagant parties The story runs through all the drama of shady millionaries, attractive Daisy, and the Buchanan family and fascinating secondary characters I recommend the book only because it s an original story and it makes you think about human behavior Tell me what you think when you read it

Great Gatsby Hey I ve been reading the Great Gatsby for a while and it is on everyones top books to read Well I don t agree that it s that good I had a hard time reading it and most of the time I skipped over some parts because it was to hard to understand them The book confused me until I got to the part to where Gatsby got on a rant about how Daisy didn t love her husband and loved him Then I was able to keep reading to the end where Gatby died on the last chapter It was a hard book, if Great Gatsby Hey I ve been reading the Great Gatsby for a while and it is on everyones top books to read Well I don t agree that it s that good I had a hard time reading it and most of the time I skipped over some parts because it was to hard to understand them The book confused me until I got to the part to where Gatsby got on a rant about how Daisy didn t love her husband and loved him Then I was able to keep reading to the end where Gatby died on the last chapter It was a hard book, if you like it then okay, but I don t want to read it again It was hard to get hooked in and hard to understand.I don t recomend it to anyone under thirty because it is a very mature book

The whole first half I was wondering Great American Novel it just seemed like such a particular segment of society that people admire but doesn t really speak to the everyman experience like current celebrity worship But then towards the end the whole thing changes, and the vista opens how pathetic these people are, how superficial and self involved and selfish and even cruel And by setting these traits against the glamourous life, it makes the baseness evenprofound if these had The whole first half I was wondering Great American Novel it just seemed like such a particular segment of society that people admire but doesn t really speak to the everyman experience like current celebrity worship But then towards the end the whole thing changes, and the vista opens how pathetic these people are, how superficial and self involved and selfish and even cruel And by setting these traits against the glamourous life, it makes the baseness evenprofound if these had been mill workers, for example, their behaviour would have been excused due to external forces poverty, pressure, etc There s no excuse here, and that makes their behaviour evenuniversal And ugly Great book

So forever, I thought this book sounded like it was about a magician and as a result I steered clear of it Then I heard it was a great book and of course it had no where to go but down from there I was very unimpressed with the characters and really had little desire to spend much time with them I was glad that it was a short book The main character caught my interest, but of course their really wasn t much about him in the story I felt like the characters lives where train wrecks waiting So forever, I thought this book sounded like it was about a magician and as a result I steered clear of it Then I heard it was a great book and of course it had no where to go but down from there I was very unimpressed with the characters and really had little desire to spend much time with them I was glad that it was a short book The main character caught my interest, but of course their really wasn t much about him in the story I felt like the characters lives where train wrecks waiting to happen and it did

The great book of the Jazz Age I don t think there is a word or phrase in this book that should not be there It is a book about a man writing a book about a man, the Great Gatsby I can understand why Hollywood is intrigued with this story, already 3 films have been made and another is to come out in 2013 Fitzgerald manages to distill the essence of an age into less than 200 pages Anyone who is considering a writing career should read this book first It is essential reading.

I liked the book They always threw parties when they bored, and well society is still that way It is quite sad how they all go around cheating like its the in thing to do Well it does show how people can be fake and use their so called friends If a person does not like to read I don t suggest they start trying with this one.
